For 13 seasons I called the action for the Vancouver Canadians, Minor League Affiliate of the Oakland A's (2007-10) and Toronto Blue Jays (2011-2019). I also was Communications Director, and helped develop our broadcast opportunities with both TSN and Sportsnet. In 2015, I was honoured to get inducted into the Vancouver Canadians Broadcast & Journalism Hall of Fame as selected by my peers within the Hall.
I was trusted with the Vancouver Canadians Baseball Foundation which helped unward of 300 local children play baseball through our many fundraising initiatives including our annual Hot Stove Luncheon. It was here that I cultivated many of my relationships within the Toronto Blue Jays organization. Many of those friendships remain to this day.
While handling my duties at the ballpark, I also purchased my first restaurant, Siena located in the heart of South Granville. In addition to receiving a Gold Plate Award from the Georgia Straight (2015), my wife and I created the Domingo-Sanchez Culinary Scholarship Program for teenaged girls looking for opportunities within the food/service industry. Selected by the Boys & Girls Club of South Coast BC, we provided a six-week program for nine students to learn the industry in a non-pressure, inclusive environment helping them with skills we hoped would last a lifetime.
